ABOUT

Batuta Chemical Industrial Park (BCIP), developed by PT Batuta Chemical Industrial Park in East Kutai along the Makassar Strait, aims to become a profitable and integrated industrial hub with a strong emphasis on supporting the coal industry. The project's development strategy is built on three key success factors: establishing an integrated infrastructure network, ensuring the park is self-sustaining, and positioning it as a center of excellence for new coal processing methods. Achieving these goals depends on applying design principles that ensure a clear, functional structure, flexible land use, sustainable green and blue infrastructure, and efficient development phasing.

The industrial park spans roughly 943.8 hectares, with about half dedicated to industrial activities clustered around coal processing and intended for sale to investors. Meanwhile, areas designated for Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) will be available for rent. To further strengthen its integrated character, the park includes commercial spaces, public facilities, amenities, transportation options such as a port, and government offices. Notably, over 10% of the land is allocated as green space, which serves both as open space and as vital corridors for the movement of goods and services.
